Severgroup supported a social and cultural project run by the Russian Museum for visually impaired visitors

Severstal, Power Machines, Lenta, Nordgold and TUI Russia, the companies of Severgroup (a large investment company managing assets for the benefit of Alexey Mordashov), supported the development of an audio guide with audio description for visually impaired visitors to the State Russian Museum.

In one of the halls of the Mikhailovsky Palace, a presentation of an audio guide with audio description and embossed images dedicated to the work of the great Russian artists Karl Bryullov and Ivan Aivazovsky took place. The materials of the audio guide included the artists' biographies, descriptions of paintings with musical accompaniment, interesting facts from the history of the paintings and an audio description (concise descriptions of objects to help blind and visually impaired people perceive visual information).

Mobile stands were also presented that show a tactile plan of movement in the museum space and the embossed images of 10 famous works of the artists.

The recording of the audio guide was performed by museum experts curating the sector of sociocultural and methodological programs, as well as professional actors. Tactile models were created by specialists involved in the comprehensive adaptation of museum expositions for people with limited mobility, as well as for blind and visually impaired visitors. Specialized equipment is manufactured using modern technologies, and all the materials are safe and ensure the durability and high quality of the products.

The presentation was attended by thought-leaders in inclusive education from institutions for the blind and visually impaired, and the All-Russia Association of the Blind.

The audio guide is available in the izi.TRAVEL app.
