Rotating and guide blades for the GTE-170 gas turbine have been accepted
Specialists from Power Machines accepted an experimental batch of cast blanks of the rotating and guide turbine blades, which will be used in the production of the GTE-170 domestic gas turbine. The pilot batch meets all the necessary requirements and was manufactured using the equipment of Russian aviation enterprises according to the Power Machines technology.
The blades are one of the most complex components of a gas turbine. And given that these are the largest domestic blades (up to 800 mm in length), their production is even more unique. The proven technology will allow for the launch of mass production of this type of blades.
The blade manufacturing technology will later be implemented at the newly created site in St. Petersburg. At the moment, the purchase of equipment and the construction of the site is underway.
The project to revive gas turbine production in Russia is being implemented in accordance with the schedule of the agreement between JSC "Power machines" and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The high-capacity gas turbine GTE-170.1 manufactured by Power Machines was the first in Russia to receive the status of innovative power-generating equipment. The corresponding document was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation based on the results of the inspection.
Currently, the GTE-170 prototype is in production. The first GTE-170 units will be manufactured in 2022-2023.
