Rosstandart approved the national standard for hydroelectric power created by "Power machines"

The Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart) has approved a national standard for hydroelectric power elaborated by employees of the Research and Testing Center of the Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod (LMZ, part of JSC "Power machines").

A group of employees from the LMZ Research and Testing Center developed the standard "Hydroelectric power plants. Hydraulic power units. Operational monitoring of the vibration state of support units" (comes into force on August 1).

This GOST, which has received high praise from Rosstandart and the Russian Hydropower Association, aims to enhance the safety of the operation of hydraulic units of hydroelectric power plants. It reflects methods for assessing the vibration state of hydraulic units, which were confirmed in the field. These take into account potential dangers and scenarios for the development of dangerous situations of the main equipment, considering the requirements for its safe operation.

"Power machines" specialists are actively involved in the creation of GOSTs as part of the National Standardization Program, replacing foreign standards in foreign languages. This makes it possible to provide generating companies in Russia and the CIS countries with the necessary and accessible standards in Russian. Therefore, our company contributes both to technological as well as intellectual import substitution," said Alexander Ivanovsky, General Designer of JSC "Power machines".

Previously, "Power machines" specialists elaborated standards for the hydropower industry of the International Electrotechnical Commission, GOST standards for cavitation and abrasive erosion, and vibration of hydraulic turbines.
