On May 25, a delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, led by Evgeny Gribov, Director of the Department of Mechanical Engineering for the Fuel and Energy Complex, paid a working visit to the production sites of Power Machines to see the production of domestic medium- and high-capacity gas turbines.
Power Machines General Director, Alexander Konyukhov, and the company's Chief Designer, Alexander Ivanovsky, reported on the progress of implementing the project to create domestic medium- and high-capacity gas turbines.
The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade representatives also got acquainted with the facilities of the "Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod," where the production of gas turbines of two standard sizes, GTE-65 and GTE-170, is currently deployed. Earlier, the company had developed design and technological documentation. Currently, the GTE-170 prototype model is in production; the revision and assembly of the GTE-65 prototype turbo group has been completed. Together with leading industry institutes, the remote monitoring and predictive diagnostics system of gas turbines is being developed.
In the LMZ workshops, the machine park is being actively retrofitted with new equipment. To test the full-sized units of the combustion chambers of power GTUs (Gas Turbine Units) at full-scale parameters, the plant is developing its own experimental and research stands.
The first GTE-170 units will be produced in 2022-2023, while the GTE-65 units will be manufactured in 2024.
The project to revive gas turbine production in Russia is being implemented in accordance with the schedule of the agreement between JSC "Power machines" and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The high-capacity gas turbine GTE-170.1 manufactured by Power Machines was the first in Russia to receive the status of innovative power-generating equipment. The corresponding document was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation based on the results of the inspection.
