Power Machines wins an award at an international contest for Arctic region development

Power Machines was among the award winners recognized at the 2021 International Contest of Scientific, R&D, and Innovative Developments Dedicated to the Exploration and Development of the Arctic and Continental Shelf.

Specialists from the Special Design Bureau for Turbine Generators at Electrosila Plant (part of Power Machines) participated in the contest. The award ceremony took place during the plenary session of the International Conference and Exhibition for the Development of Russian Arctic and Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Resources (RAO/CIS OFFSHORE 2021) in St. Petersburg on September 21.

The Project team – Nikolay Vasilyevich Grishin, Vladimir Nikolaevich Zheleznyak, and Alexey Grigorievich Filin – submitted their contribution entitled "Modular Power Equipment for Low-Power NPP Designed for Operation in the Arctic and Continental Shelf" to the competition. Based on the contest committee’s ratings, the experts from Power Machines were awarded a contest laureate diploma.

53 organizations took part in the contest this year; 63 projects were submitted, covering a range of scientific, technical, and production projects aimed at promoting the development of the Arctic shelf’s hydrocarbon resources.

The contest was supported by the RF Government and the RF Ministry of Energy.
