Power Machines perform upgrading of the vertical assembly stand for gas turbine rotors

Power Machines signed a contract for upgrading the vertical assembly stand for the rotors of the GTE-65 and GTE-170 gas turbines. Completion and commissioning of the stand is scheduled for the 3rd quarter of 2020.

During the upgrade, the load capacity of the stand platform will be increased to accommodate a hydropower station. Such arrangement will increase productivity when assembling rotors, since water supply for their coupling will be carried out directly on the stand.

Production of the GTE-65 and GTE-170 gas turbines is carried out at Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod, which is the plant of Power Machines. One of the key areas of the company's investment program is refitting the production facilities with equipment to eliminate bottlenecks.

Today, Power Machines have identified suppliers and signed all contracts for supply of core process equipment for completing semi-finished products and assembly and welding facilities within the ongoing project for the production of medium- and high-power gas turbines. Delivery and commissioning of new equipment will be performed during 2020.
