Power Machines holds a Welcome Day for new members of the Student Design Bureau at the National Research University’s Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI)
On September 22, a Welcome Day was held for new members of the Power Machines Student Design Bureau at MPEI National Research University.
The Special Design Bureau’s work program is designed to last two years. It includes both training and experience working on the company’s ongoing projects. This work covers a number of areas: electric machines, gas turbines, technical management, steam turbines, automation systems, boiler plants, hydro and turbine generators, hydro turbines and EPC (power facilities design).
The purpose of the Special Design Bureau is to train students to create advanced power-generating equipment. Students are taught using advanced computer-aided design and numerical simulation tools used by the Power Machines design and technical departments. The Special Design Bureau is equipped with up-to-date computer hardware, multimedia facilities, and comfortable workspaces.
Fourth-year undergraduate students and first- or second-year master’s students are eligible to work for the Special Design Bureau. Members who qualify for employment at the Special Design Bureau will receive a monthly allowance and job tenure. Moreover, upon graduation from the Student Design Bureau, they will continue working in Power Machines as third category design engineers.
Power Machines Special Design Bureau was opened at MPEI National Research University in October 2020.
