"Power Machines" Hold "Youth Days" for Student Design Bureaus All Over Russia

From July 21 to 23, "Power machines" hosted "The Youth Days. The Future Is Here" event. It was attended by 65 students representing the National Research University MPEI, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Platov South-Russian State Polytechnic University, Tomsk Polytechnic University, Ufa State Aviation Technical University, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation and Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI". All are participants of the student design bureaus created by "Power Machines" at Russia's leading technical universities.

As part of the ongoing program, many students came to St. Petersburg from other cities such as Moscow, Kaluga, Tomsk, Ufa and for the first time had the opportunity to get to know each other and share their experiences. For three days, they took part in various events together and were able to immerse themselves in the specifics of power engineering. On the first day, a meeting with Alexander Ivanovsky, General Designer of JSC "Power machines" was held, which gave the students the opportunity to ask all their questions and learn more about the Company's current and future projects. Then, a series of round tables and visits to the "Power machines" design bureaus were organized for the Youth Days participants.

The second day was marked by tours to the Company's production facilities. After the mandatory safety briefing, the participants visited the production shops of the Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod (LMZ) and the Electrosila Plant and visited SMTT High-Voltage Solutions, the manufacturer of power transformers. Later that day, the students took part in the first music festival among industrial enterprises organized by "Power machines" at the LMZ. In total, the festival was attended by 1,500+ people.

"The Youth Days" for student design bureaus have already become a good tradition of "Power machines" and are held for the second year in a row. For students, this is a great opportunity to witness several manufacturing businesses of the Company, learn the specifics of the production flow, evaluate the impressive dimensions of the power-generating equipment produced, not to mention getting acquainted with future colleagues and mentors and joining the "Power machines"corporate life.

The Company is developing a wide network of student design bureaus throughout Russia. The "Power machines" SDB have already been created and are successfully operating at the National Research University MPEI, St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Tomsk Polytechnic University, Ufa State Aviation Technical University and others. Currently 79 students from 8 universities participate in the project.
