Power Machines held a scientific and technical Council on the results of designing the wetted part of the GTE-65.0 gas turbine compressor

At the STC meeting chaired by Professor Y. K. Petreni, corresponding member of RAS, Deputy Director General – technical Director of PJSC Power machines. He was attended by representatives of the Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B. N. Yeltsin, Samara National Research University named after academician S. P. Korolev and the Scientific and Production Association for research and design of power equipment named after I. I. Polzunov.

During the STC, designers of the Power Machines gas turbine design Bureau and specialists from partner companies showed and discussed the results of the aerodynamic calculation of the GTE-65.0 compressor. The purpose of this stage of work was to determine the method of gas-dynamic calculation of the compressor wetted part using computer modeling of airflow and its verification based on the available experimental data.

In the course of this work, the results of experimental data obtained during testing of a model 6-stage compressor, the head sample of the GTE-65 gas turbine unit at the CHPP-9 stand, and data was obtained by modern calculation methods. There was a high degree of convergence with the results.

In addition, during the STC, its participants formulated proposals for making design improvements and upgrading the compressor, aimed at increasing the compression ratio, efficiency and flow characteristics while maintaining a given range of stable operation. These proposals, as well as the proven method of computer simulation of air flow in the compressor, will serve as the basis for work on creating a modified version of the compressor for GTE-65.1.
