As part of the project to create domestic gas turbines, Power Machines completed R&D on redesign of the wheel space part of the GTE-65.1 gas turbine compressor.
A similar component of the basic GT-65.0 compressor became the basis for the design of the wheel space part of the GTE-65.1 gas turbine compressor. The work on redesign was carried out using modern calculation methods and programs, taking into account the results of experimental data obtained during testing of a model 6-stage basic compressor at the NPO CKTI stand and the prototype of the GTE-65.0 gas turbine unit at TPP-9.
The new wheel space part of the compressor allows you to increase its efficiency and compression ratio compared to the basic model – GTE-65.0. This work was carried out by order of Power Machines by specialists from the Samara National Research University named after academician S.P. Korolyov.
The next significant stage in the work on the GTE-65.1 compressor will be the manufacture of a model 16-stage GT-65.1 compressor. Its test to confirm the specified parameters will be held at the Central Institute of Aviation Motors named after P.I. Baranov.
