Power Machines completes manufacture of the first batch of rotor discs for GTE-170 gas turbine

Power Machines continues to implement a project to create a heavy-duty gas turbine – GTE-170. This past October, they manufactured the first set of rotor discs for the domestic gas turbine GTE-170.

Turning of the compressor and turbine discs has been completed in full. The inspection results showed compliance of the disc configuration with the requirements of the design documentation.

The final stage of the rotor discs project is the processing of grooves for blade attachment. To complete this stage, the company purchased new equipment and conducted pilot work on the elaboration of milling technology with the participation of experts from the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials.

Let us recall, that the production of GTE-65 and GTE-170 gas turbines is carried out at Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod, which is the plant of Power Machines. The project for creating completely domestic gas turbines by Power Machines involves three production sites and 1645 pieces of equipment. The company is implementing 48 investment projects to retrofit production facilities for the manufacture of gas turbine plants. The total investment in production retrofitting exceeds 4 billion rubles.
