Power Machines completed the next stage of R&D on the development of the heavy-duty gas turbine ignition system GTE-170
As part of the next stage of R&D on the development of the gas turbine ignition system GTE-170, Power Machines manufactured a prototype burner device for bench testing of combustion chamber GTE-170.1 elements.
Soon, the product, which includes a burner, ignition spark plug and a diagonal turbulizer, as well as pilot high-voltage wires and an ignition exciter will be handed over to the test bench of the Power Machines partner - JSC NPO CKTI named after I.I. Polzunov. During the tests scheduled for September 2020, the technical solutions incorporated in the design and ignition modes will be tested.
Power Machines have designed and manufactured the heavy-duty gas turbine ignition system elements in cooperation with a leading Russian aviation company. According to the requirements of the technical specification, the assigned resource of the ignition unit is 100 thousand hours, wires, and plugs – 35 thousand hours.
The developed technical solutions make it possible to apply local made materials and components used in manufacture of the gas turbine ignition system in exact compliance with the requirements of the Resolution No. 719 of the Russian Federation Government "On Confirmation of Industrial Production in the Russian Federation".
The Power Machines project for the manufacture of heavy-duty gas turbines is aimed at creating in Russia a production of power equipment, that will meet or exceed quality equipment internationally, and reduce dependence on foreign manufacturers.
