"Power machines" Becomes a Partner of the Festival of Technical Ideas "KulibinFest – 2023: From Creativity to Profession"

The VIII annual festival of technical ideas "KulibinFest – 2023: From Creativity to Profession" was held at the Center for Children's (Youth) Technical Creativity in the Kolpinsky District of Saint Petersburg in the framework of the interdepartmental vocational guidance program "PROFESSiUM" and the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia.
The aim of the event, which was attended by more than 500 students aged 6 to 17, was to demonstrate the achievements of the scientific, technical and innovative activities of creative young people so that they make a conscious decision to pursue a career.
Representatives of the special design bureau for gas turbine units of "Power machines", Chief Designer - Head of SDB Nikolay Fokin and Lead Design Engineer Sergey Budin told about the work of the power engineering company, about the strategic project of resuming the production of domestic gas turbines of medium and large capacity, and also answered questions about the power industry and the professions that are in demand in the industry.
"While younger schoolchildren were only learning what electricity is and how power plants are built, older pupils facing career choices were interested in combining their university level studies with an internship at "Power machines" – participation in the student design bureaus that our company organizes at nine leading technical universities in Russia provides such opportunities for future specialists," Nikolay Fokin said.
Support for "KulibinFest" is part of the extensive program of career guidance events for schoolchildren in Saint Petersburg run by "Power machines" together with educational institutions, associations and projects.
