“Power machines” awarded graduates of the flagship college of the federal project “Professionalism” with diplomas

Diplomas were conferred to students of the Electrical Mechanical Engineering College, a supporting institution of the educational and production cluster "Mechanical Engineering", created with the support of the Power machines company within the framework of the federal project "Professionalism".

Alexei Sadkov, Deputy General Director-Director for Production of JSC "Power machines" and Elena Solovyova, HR Director of the company, congratulated the students on obtaining professions that are in demand in power engineering — welders, machine operators, process technicians. This year, 17 graduates of the Electrical Engineering College have already secured a job offer at Power machines enterprises — at the Electrosila Plant and the Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod.

— "Power machines" opens up opportunities for everyone striving for development and new achievements. We continue to invest in overhauling the infrastructure of colleges in the Mechanical Engineering cluster and plan further joint development of educational programs. The guys learn on modern equipment and undergo practical training in real production guide by experienced mentors and employees of the largest power engineering company "Power machines". I’m sure we will meet many graduates again – as colleagues, to solve complex and interesting production problems," said Alexey Sadkov.

"Power machines" was involved in the federal project "Professionalism" in 2022 and supported the creation of the educational and production cluster "Mechanical Engineering". The Electrical Mechanical Engineering College became the core educational institution of the cluster; on its basis, with the company involved, an educational and production center for the development of practical competencies of students was arranged.

The second intake of students from the Mechanical Engineering cluster kicks off in September 2023. The event is scheduled to host 725 people and will be held at the Electrical Engineering College, the Technical School of Power Engineering and Metalworking, Malookhtinsky College, Russian College of Traditional Culture, St. Petersburg Technical College, Izhora College and the Industrial and Technological College named after N.I. Putilov.

Applicants will be extended access to professions and specialties that are highly in demand in industry: mechanical engineering technology, machine tool, and machining equipment adjuster, manual and partially mechanized welder, machine and metalwork supervisor, program-controlled machine operator, and metalwork master.
