Power Machines and Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University expand cooperation

Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) and Power Machines signed an additional agreement on the creation of a student design office "Power Machines - Polytech" at the University.

Timur Lipatov, CEO of Power Machines and Andrey Rudskoy, member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, rector of SPbPU, signed the corresponding document.

The parties agreed to create a development program for the participants of the student design office at the university, which will allow young people to take part in real research programs under the guidance of "Power machines" designers, to feel like members of a large team working with large projects and programs aimed at the development of the energy sector in the country.

The Russian power engineering company and the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University have long-standing partnerships. The Polytechnic University is the main supplier of personnel for the design and engineering divisions of Power Machines. Polytech students are frequent guests of Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod and Electrosila, as well as traditional participants in the company's special events. 

In addition, the parties carry out collaborative scientific research aimed at solving the problems of the domestic energy sector.  

St. Petersburg Polytechnic University is the third institution of Higher Education, where Power Machines have opened a student design office. The event is scheduled for September 2020. In June and July this year, agreements were signed with the MPEI National Research University and the St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation (SUAI).
