Pavel Snikkars discussed the planned selections for 2024 with generating companies and equipment manufacturers during a meeting at "Power machines"
Pavel Snikkars, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, held a working meeting at JSC "Power machines" to address issues related to supplying domestically manufactured gas turbine equipment to the country's generating companies. During the meeting, he also discussed the planned selections for 2024 with generating companies and equipment manufacturers.
The meeting was attended by the heads of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and key machine building and power engineering enterprises, including JSC "Power machines", JSC "SO UES", PJSC "Inter RAO", "Modern Gas Turbine Technologies" LLC, PJSC "T Plus", "Gazprom Energoholding" LLC, PJSC "Unipro", PJSC "Forward Energo" and the Council of Energy Producers Association.
During the meeting, the participants visited the production facilities of the Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod (LMZ, a part of JSC "Power machines"). They assessed the technological capacities created within the framework of the project to produce domestic gas turbines.
The meeting participants visited the new production area for gas-thermal spraying of heat-protective coatings on working and guide blades of gas turbines. They also toured the production of cast blades, where criticalli important technology for manufacturing castings of gas turbine blades has been introduced. Just recently, the first casting of the rotating blade of the GTE-65 gas turbine, one of the most intricate parts in design and production, was successfully produced here. This achievement marked a significant milestone in the project.
"The work undertaken by "Power machines", with the support of the state and active involvement of leading industry scientific and technical organizations, will enable the country to ensure domestically manufactured gas turbines. This is a milestone not only for our company but also for the development of the Russian engineering school in general and for ensuring the technological sovereignty of the industry," noted Alexander Konyukhov, General Director of "Power machines".
For reference:
A strategically important project for resuming gas turbine production in Russia is being implemented by JSC "Power machines" with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
"Power machines" creates capacities to produce eight gas turbines per year. The company will also provide service of gas turbines, including third-party production, in particular, production and supply of spare parts.
Three production sites of Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod and more than 1650 units of technological equipment are involved in the production of gas turbines. The Company continues to upgrade the production facilities with the equipment necessary to organize a full cycle of gas turbine manufacturing. More than 150 designers and technologists and over 1400 production specialists are working on the project.
In December 2022, "Power machines" completed production and tested the prototype model of the GTE-170 high-capacity gas turbine. The first serial gas turbine GTE-170 will be manufactured by the end of 2023.
At the same time, the company is working on the production of a highly efficient F-class medium-capacity gas turbine - GTE-65. The scheduled completion date for the prototype model of the GTE-65 gas turbine is set for 2024.
