On May 14, 2021, General Director of JSC Power Machines Alexander Konyukhov paid a working visit to the National Research University "MPEI".

The management and subject matter specialists of the power engineering company took part in the reporting event of "Demo Day" Student Design Bureau, where students presented the results of completed work ordered by JSC Power Machines. After summing up the interim results of SDB's activities in 2021, Alexander Konyukhov and the rector of NRU "MPEI," Nikolai Rogalev, answered students' questions and discussed upcoming events: holding a student regatta and organizing summer practice at the production sites of Power Machines.

- Power Machines is interested in attracting new engineering personnel. The company has a large stock of orders for ambitious and interesting projects. In the future, we plan to expand our design bureau by setting up a branch in Moscow," - said Alexander Konyukhov, General Director of Power Machines. - "Working at the SDB gives the graduates of "MPEI" a serious advantage and will allow them to further accelerate their career growth, since future engineers gain experience in working on real projects, participate in solving urgent engineering problems with the help of computer-aided design and modeling tools that are used by our design and technological divisions".

After meeting with the students, Alexander Konyukhov and Power Machines specialists, accompanied by Nikolai Rogalev, visited the departments and research centers of NRU "MPEI", and got acquainted with the capabilities of the scientific and technical base and the advanced developments of the university.

Further steps to launch a comprehensive scientific and technical program of a full innovation cycle, "New generation large-capacity power engineering," were discussed during the visit. The program coordinator is the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, and the responsible co-executors are the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the Minenergo of Russia.

- "The program is aimed at creating new domestic power-generating equipment and technologies, the introduction of which in the industry will significantly increase the efficiency and reliability of thermal generation, hydroelectric generation, and the power grid complex, and will also make a significant contribution to the development of hydrogen energy, carbon-free energy production technologies, and the development of digital control systems for power facilities. The program has a sectoral scale and assumes broad cooperation with other power engineering enterprises, universities and institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences", is how the rector of NRU "MPEI" Nikolai Rogalev summed up the results of the meeting.
