Mikhail Ivanov, Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Visits the Turbine Blade Production of "Power machines"

Mikhail Ivanov, Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, made a working visit to "Power machines".

Mikhail Ivanov toured the new production area for thermal spraying of thermal coatings on gas turbine rotary and stationary blades and visited the cast blade production area, where the development of a high-tech production base for gas turbine blades casting is continuing.

The Deputy Minister noted that the modernization and capacity expansion work undertaken by the company will enable it to offer a full production cycle of gas turbines.

"Power machines" is today creating the conditions for the production of eight gas turbine units per year. The company intends to reach this volume from 2025," Mikhail Ivanov added.

The project to restart gas turbine production in Russia is being implemented by JSC "Power machines" with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The successful solution of the task will ensure the technological independence of the Russian Federation through the full development of domestic production of this type of equipment, including hot way components and control systems based on domestic elements, and eliminate dependence on import services. "Power machines" plans to supply gas turbine blades for export in the future and to offer maintenance services for gas turbines not only from its own production but also for third parties.

The first series gas turbine of the type GTE-170 will be manufactured for Nizhnekamsk Thermal Power Plant at the end of 2023. Four more gas turbines will be delivered to Inter RAO's Kashirskaya TPP in 2024–2025 and four more to RusHydro's Far East plants in 2025–2026.
