Power Machines takes part in the congress «Hydropower. Central Asia and the Caspian»

On February 17-18, representatives of the Russian power engineering company - Vladimir Demyanov, Deputy General Director - Head of the Hydropower Division of Power Machines and Anatoly Kolesnikov, Chief Designer of hydroturbines - Head of "Gidroturbomash" specialized design bureau take part in the 5th annual congress "Hydropower. Central Asia and the Caspian" which is held in Tashkent with the support of Uzbekistan Ministry of Energy.

The international congress and exhibition "Hydropower. Central Asia and the Caspian" is a professional platform for dialogue, exchange of experience, search for solutions and consolidation of efforts of government and business representatives for the implementation of a number of projects for the construction and reconstruction/modernization of hydroelectric power plants in the region (Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan , Iran, Armenia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkey).

Central Asia in general, and the Republic of Uzbekistan in particular, are priority markets for Power Machines. Thus, today, a representative office of the Russian company has been opened in the capital of Uzbekistan, a network of the project offices that involves more than 30 employees of Power Machines.

80% of the heat and hydrogeneration in Uzbekistan is produced by turbines and generators produced by the enterprises that are part of "Power machines". Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod and Electrosila plant participated in fitting out the Burjar HPP-4, Angren, Navoiy, Tashkent and Syrdarya TPPs, Charvak HPPs and many others.

At present, Power Machines continues to execute contracts in Uzbekistan for the modernization of three power plants – Syrdarya TPP, Farkhad and Tupalang HPPs. Projects for the construction of a small hydro power plant are in progress.
