A Turbine, manufactured by Power Machines, was put into operation at Mary State District Thermal Power Plant (Turkmenistan)

Mary State District Thermal Power Plant launched a renewed 200 MW power unit with an upgraded steam turbine by Power Machines.

A $13.3 mln. contract on modernization of one of the eight Mary Power Plant turbines was signed by Power Machines and Turkmenistan Ministry of Energy and Industry in December 2004.

Mary State District Thermal Power Plant, located in the South-East of Turkmenistan, is one of biggest thermal power plants in the Republic, providing 80% of the country’s electric power. The gas for the 1,250 MW power plant is delivered from the Shatlyk Gas Field.
