TKZ Equipment has been Delivered to the Kazakhstan Aluminum TPP

The Taganrog Boiler-Making Works "Krasny Kotelshchik" (TKZ), a member of PJSC Power Machines, has completed the delivery of a drum complete with separation devices and expansion rollers for the Kazakhstan Aluminum company TPP (Pavlodar, the Republic of Kazakhstan), a member of the Eurasian Group (ERG).

This large-scale item was designed and manufactured within the framework of a program to revamp the boiler equipment installed at the power plant. It will replace the BKZ-42-0140 drum, manufactured by the TKZ and commissioned in 1966, that has reached the end of its useful life at present.

The plan is to put the new equipment into operation in 2018. The drum, being one of the principal components of a boiler, will ensure uniform distribution of feedwater and steam-water mixture separation into saturated steam and water. In addition to this, the power unit will have a reserve of circulating water needed for trouble-free operation of the boiler.

It should not be forgotten that earlier the TKZ had delivered BKZ-320-140 boiler drums (plant numbers 1 and 2), spares for the chemical water treatment system, and high-pressure coils to the JSC Kazakhstan Aluminum.
