Power Machines to Supply Electrical Equipment to an Olympic Facility in Sochi as an Official Vendor

After winning, in cooperation with TEK Mosenergo (General Contractor), the bid held by Mezhregion-Energostroy, acting as the owner for the Adlerskaya TPP project, Power Machines have become an official vendor for an Olympic facility in Sochi.

Power Machines and TEK Mosenergo have signed a contract, under which the company will supply equipment for a 360 MW combined cycle gas turbine for the Adlerskaya TPP project, which is expected to begin in spring 2010. Power Machines will supply two 60 MW steam turbines (to be constructed by Kaluga Turbine Works, a member of Power Machines Group) and two turbogenerators from the company's branch, Elektrosila. The scope of supply further includes equipment manufactured by Ansaldo Energia from Italy, comprised of four gas turbines with generators, 65 MW each. Moreover, in performing the contract, Power Machines engineers will supervise the installation of the company's own equipment and will also provide technical supervision over the installation of Ansaldo Energia's equipment.

Equipment deliveries for the Adlerskaya TPP combined cycle gas turbine are planned to be completed in the first quarter 2011. The TPP itself is expected to be commissioned in 2012.
