Taganrog’s Krasny Kotelshchik Boiler-Making Plant, a part of Power Machines OJSC, completed shipment of last components of a pulverized-coal fired steam boiler manufactured for Blagoveshchenskaya TPP Phase 2 (owned and developed by Blagoveshchenskaya TPP, a subsidiary of RusHydro managed in trust by RAO Energy System of East).
Delivery of the boiler components to the Blagoveshchenskaya TPP construction site commenced in September 2014, and boiler installation activities – in November 2014. Last boiler components (spare parts, tools and accessories) are expected to be delivered in mid-March.
So far, Power Machines OJSC manufactured a steam turbine complete with a turbine generator and supplied them to the power plants’ site. The company is completing preparatory works before mounting of metal structures of a cooling tower exhaust stack; metal structure pre-assembly activities are being started. At the power plant’s boiler facility, pre-assembly and installation of the boiler unit are being continued. In particular, 438 tons (out of 528 tons) of metal structures of the boiler frame; 35 tons of metal structures of the service platforms; 86 tons of metal structures of the furnace walls and 643 tons of the heating surfaces of the convection shaft were mounted. Works to construct foundations for auxiliary boiler equipment are underway. Installation of the conveyor equipment is in progress at the fuel-conveying facilities.
In the turbine house, the first stage of concreting operations on the upper structure of the turbine set foundation was accomplished, and removal of formworks started. Over 370 people are involved at the facilities being under construction.
