Power Machines obtained a single license from the Education Committee of Saint Petersburg Government, permitting training in 100 vocational trades.
With the issued document, the company has the right to provide basic training to workers in 44 trades, refresher training in 15 trades, and advance training (upgrade) in 41 trades.
Power Machines' branches – Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod (LMZ), Elektrosila, and Turbine Blades’ Plant – have unique trades that are not taught in any educational institution in Saint Petersburg. Moreover, most workers trained outside the company have to be re-taught to cover the specifics of Power Machines. According to experts, it is much more efficient to bring up qualified workers inside the company.
Up to now, LMZ has been the only branch with the right to train as it obtained an appropriate license about 10 years ago.
The single license will allow Power Machines to provide its manufacturing facilities with labour, reduce training costs, and will also enable each branch to train qualified workers on the job without engaging vocational educational institutions.
Therefore, a corporate training centre will be set up in Power Machines with HR Manager Maxim Rumyantsev at the head.
