At Power Machines’ branch, Electrosila, the customer accepted a 63 MW turbine generator subsequent to successful completion of integrated tests. The generator is designed for the first unit of Adlerskaya TPP, which is currently under construction in Sochi within the campaign of preparation for the 2014 Olympic Games.
The procurement contract for equipment to be installed at Adlerskaya TPP’s 360 MW CCGT unit was signed between Power Machines company and Mosenergo TPC, OJSC in August 2009. Under the terms of this contract, Power Machines company is to supply two 60 MW steam turbines (these are being manufactured by Kaluga Turbine Works, part of Power Machines concern) and two turbine generators produced by Power Machines’ branch – Electrosila. Scope of Power Machines’ supply also includes equipment manufactured by Italian-based Ansaldo Energia, namely four gas turbines completed with generators rated at 65 MW each. According to the contractual obligations, the company’s engineers will manage the installation of Power Machines’ equipment and supervise the installation activities involving equipment produced by Ansaldo Energia.
Delivery of equipment destined for Adlerskaya TPP’s CCGT is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter 2011. The plant is to be put into operation in 2012.
At present, Electrosila branch is manufacturing equipment for the second power unit of Adlerskaya TPP. Within the framework of these activities, a turbine generator rotor has already been completed, while the manufacture of the first turbine is near completion at Kaluga Turbine Works.
