On September 8-th, during the celebration function dedicated to the Day of St. Petersburg’s Industry, the Power Machines company earned honorific mention from the Governor of St. Petersburg for the company’s tangible contribution to development of the city’s industry. The award was handed in to Roman Philippov, General Director of Power Machines.
«On behalf of the company, I thank you for the award in recognition of the contribution made by Power Machines to development of St. Petersburg. This is a great privilege for us to be part of the history of the great Russian city, to be instrumental in prosperity.» – indicated Roman Philippov, General Director of Power Machines.
It is noteworthy that the Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod and Electrosila, the two factories in Petersburg, which are now part of Power Machines, contributed to development of St. Petersburg as tax payers and major employers only. These plants took an active part in changing the image of the city on the Neva River and in creating its famous sights. Their portfolio of orders features the drawable spans of the Bolsheokhtinsky Bridge, the framework of the domes of the Church of the Savior on Blood, the roof coverings of the Winter Palace, electrification of the Tsar’s Village (Tsarskoe Selo) at the end of the 19-th century and other notable and interesting orders.
