The Taganrog Boiler-Making Works “Krasny Kotelshchik” (the main manufacturing facilities of PJSC EMAlliance, a member of the power plant concern Power Machines) has shipped a large lot of equipment for Izhevskaya CHPP-1. There have been sent thirteen assemblies of HRSG with the total weight of more than 1 thousand ton to the address of the Customer. The range of large products includes main and gas inlet ducts, second and forth modules of the HRSG, HP and LP drums, chimney cylinder shell segments.
In June 2011 EMAlliance and IES-Holding concluded a Contract for design, manufacture and supply of HRSG for Power Unit PGU-230 Izhevskaya CHPP-1 with weight of more than 1600 ton. The specialists of BSDB BP (Barnaul) carried out the equipment design works under licence of American company NOOTER/ERIKSEN, INC. The main assemblies of HRSG are manufactured at the Taganrog Boiler-Making Works.
The equipment shipment for Izhevskaya CHPP-1 is carried out by stages. Completion of HRSG assemblies shipment to this plant is scheduled by the end of 2012 at Krasny Kotelshchik. It will be recalled that the boilers of such type use heat of gas turbine flue gases for steam generation, which then flows to the steam turbine. This technology provides high efficiency of the combined cycle plant.
Construction of the new Power Unit for Izhevskaya CHPP-1 including gas turbine with capacity of 167 MW, HRSG and steam turbine with capacity of 63 MW is carried out according to the foreground capital spending Project of IES-Holding for reconstruction of the oldest power plant of Udmurtia. As a result of its implementation the plant installed capacity will be increased four times and obsolete equipment will be out of operation, and also electric energy provision of the region and heat energy provision of the city Izhevsk will be increased. The total electric capacity of the Unit will comprise 230 MW, heat capacity – 157 Gcal/h.
Power Machines supply to Izhevskaya CHPP-1 within the framework of the Contract signed in 2010 the set of equipment consisting of the gas turbine GTE-160, the generator with capacity of 180 MW and the excitation system to it, ACS of gas-turbine plant, complex air-cleaning device (CACD) and supplemental gas turbine plant equipment. All the main equipment except the generator stator and CACD was manufactured and is placed at the plant at the present time. The stator shipment will be performed in the nearest future. CACD will be accepted in deposit at request of the Customer.
