In Uzbekistan, negotiations were held by the working group of JSC «Uzbekhydroenergo» headed by Chairman of the Board Abdugani Sanguinov and PJSC «Power Machines» led by Director General Timur Lipatov.
The meeting was dedicated to the current status of the ongoing project to modernize the Farhad HPP, the completion of which is scheduled for 2021, and to discuss new projects for the construction and modernization of hydro-power plants with a total capacity of 275 MW, which will commence this year.
Some joint projects include «Construction of a SHPP on the Sardoba Reservoir», «Construction of a SHPP at 102+00 Station on the Dargom Channel and construction of the Bogishamol SHPP on the Dargom Channel», «Construction of the Nizhnechatkalskaya HPP», as well as modernization of the Tupalanga HPP.
All projects are strategically important and included in public investment programs. For all projects, resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the approval of a feasibility study have been adopted.
Commissioning of the Sardoba HPP (10.7 MW) will take place in July 2021, small hydro-power plants (6.4 MW and 6.45 MW) on the Dargom Channel in August 2021, the Nizhnechatkalskaya HPP (76 MW) in December 2022, and Tupalang HPP (175 MW) after modernization - in December 2021.
During the meeting, the parties agreed on the development of an accelerated schedule for the implementation of joint projects.
