Joint Venture of Power Machines and Toshiba Corporation to supply transformers to Kazakhstan

Power Machines – Toshiba. High Voltage Transformers LLC will fulfill the first export order, involving delivery of two transformers for the purposes of overhaul and renovation of the Pavlodar TPP-3 in Kazakhstan.

The equipment was ordered by PAVLODARENERGO JSC, a part of Central Asian Electric Power Corporation JSC (CAEPC) and a leading privately-owned power company in Kazakhstan.

Under the terms and conditions of the project, the joint venture shall design, manufacture and supply two 110 kV / 80 MVA transformers. Furthermore, the plant’s staff will supervise the equipment installation and train the customer’s personnel.

The equipment is scheduled to be delivered in Q3 2015.

This is the joint venture’s first order in the energy market of the CIS. Its fulfillment will become a milestone in developing the near-abroad market.
