Power Machines, the Russian power-engineering leader, held its annual Doors Open Day for its employees and their family members. More than fifteen hundred people visited the Leningrad Metal Plant in the lead-up to its 160th anniversary.
On May 21, the legendary Leningrad Metal Plant opened its doors for the company employees and their family members in order to familiarize them with the history of one of St. Petersburg's oldest industrial enterprises and its present-day production capacities.
"The Doors Open Day is a unique opportunity to look behind the scenes of power engineering, to see with your own eyes the rooms and shops where huge powerful machines supplying the world with electric energy are designed and produced," Roman Filippov, PJSC Power Machines CEO greeted the visitors. "I would like to state with pride that the plant we are visiting now celebrates its 160 anniversary this year. It is an excellent reason to familiarize oneself with the history of the enterprise that is inextricably intertwined with the history of our country."
The Doors Open Day program included visits to the production facilities and the Leningrad Metal Plant history museum, as well as a multitude of interesting competitions, musical and popular science shows and master classes in which both adults and children took part, as per tradition.
The Doors Open Day is an annual event for Power Machines employees, a part of a large-scale corporate program focused on maintaining social ties, development of communication and building up employees' loyalty.
