A new power unit has been officially put into operation at Belovskaya SDPP of Siberian Generating Company (SGC) in Kemerovo Region.
Power Machines OJSC acted in the capacity of a supplier of basic power equipment. The contract to supply steam turbines and turbine generators for the power plant was signed between Power Machines OJSC and SGC Group in 2010.
In accordance with the terms of the contract Power Machines OJSC supplied two steam turbines with capacity of 225 MW each with two turbine generators for units Nos. 4 and 6 of Belovskaya SDPP.
In 2012, the companies extended their cooperation by signing a supplemental agreement to supply condensers and auxiliary power equipment sets for these power units. Installation supervision and general supervision services by experts from Power Machines OJSC were also included in the scope of the main equipment supply.
The first renovated power unit of Belovskaya SDPP under the station number 4 was successfully launched in June of the current year.
The renovation of Belovskaya SDPP is a part of a large-scale investment programme adopted by Siberian Generating Company. The implementation of this project will improve the reliability of the entire power system in Kuzbass and reduce power supply interruption risks attributed to the shortage of generating equipment, which is especially relevant for the south of Kuzbass.
