On May 29, Acting Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov visited the Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod PJSC «Power Machines».
Alexander Beglov visited the turbine production, where he had a look at the process of producing high-tech equipment for thermal and nuclear power plants. He also met with the company's personnel.
The General Director of Power Machines Timur Lipatov, who accompanied the Acting Governor, emphasized that the technological level of the enterprise meets the highest world standards. «One of the latest developments of the enterprise are projects for the production of the world's most powerful turbine plants for NPP, focused on new generation "3+" nuclear power units with increased reliability and safety. The work continues on mastering the production of Russia's first low-speed 1200 MW turbine WWER-TOI», he noted.
Also, in 2018, Power Machines launched one of the most important investment projects - the creation and mastery of the production of prototypes of domestic gas turbines with a capacity of 65 and 170 MW designed and manufactured using Power Machines technology. Due tocooperation with Russian military-industrial and civil enterprises, the base of research, development and production capacities of Power Machines allows for the implementation of a project for the construction of domestic high-capacity GTUs.
Alexander Beglov noted that Power Machines make a significant contribution to the development of the city’s industry. The administration of St. Petersburg, in turn, aims to provide the company, like other enterprises of the city, with loading: "Money should not leave the city. We will fight for orders, we will try to ensure that our industrial enterprises have orders at least until 2025. Power Machines, especially the Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod, have always been at the forefront of our industry. There has always been a working, engineering class. You continue to work."
During the meeting with the representatives of the workforce, which was attended by workers, craftsmen, engineers of the enterprise, topical issues of urban infrastructure development were discussed. The employees were interested in plans for the development of the transport network, medical care, social facilities, including kindergartens, schools, and recreational areas in the city.
Answering the questions of the employees, Alexander Beglov highly appreciated the level of social partnership in the company, noting that the employment agreement of Power Machines is traditionally considered one of the best.
