Power unit No. 9 has been commissioned at Cherepetskaya SDPP, Tula Oblast.
Power Machines supplied the main power equipment. A contract for steam turbines and turbine generators for power units No. 8 and 9 of the Cherepetskaya SDPP was signed between Power Machines and VO Technopromexport OJSC, prime construction contractor for the units.
In accordance with the contract, Power Machines designed, manufactured and supplied two 225 MW steam turbines, two turbine generators along with auxiliary equipment. The company’s experts rendered services on mounting supervision and conducted commissioning works.
Taganrog’s Krasny Kotelshchik Boiler-Making Plant, a part of Power Machines OJSC, also participated in the Cherepetskaya SDPP capacity enhancement project. E.g., for the eighth and ninth power units of the Cherepetskaya SDPP the Krasny Kotelshchik Boiler-Making Plant provided two steam power boilers TPE-223 with steam capacity of 630 tons per hour each, along with the auxiliary boiler equipment.
Earlier, in December 2014, power unit No. 8 was successfully commissioned. The commissioning of new facilities at Cherepetskaya SDPP will improve the reliability of electricity supply in Moscow, Tula, Orel, Bryansk and Kaluga Oblasts.
